Principal Consultant HR Business Partner

In this role you will provide expert HR advice and solutions to key clients (up to senior executive level) across a portfolio of corporate, state-wide Custodial, Specialist Operations and Community Corrections. The role provides evidence-based, best-practice generalist HR advice to standardise HR practice and build HR capacity and capability in alignment with the 10 Year Strategic Plan – Corrections 2030.

The most suitable applicant will demonstrate their applied knowledge, skills, and experiences against these essential role requirements of the Team Leader leadership stream:
- Generalist HR knowledge with an applied ability to learn relevant legislation, industrial and contemporary HR frameworks, HR policies, processes and practices and the ability to apply these in a complex organisational environment.
- Demonstrated experience providing HR business partnering via a values-based, client-centric consultancy model while gathering material, assessing findings, and developing strategies in response to diverse client needs within a complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience or ability leading a team of HR professionals, with a focus on capability uplift and effective and efficient service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level HR advice and designing solution-focused interventions that meet clients' needs.
- High level consultative and relationship management skills and the capacity to establish, influence and maintain effective working relationships with clients and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to build rapport and interact with clients to influence and negotiate solution-focused outcomes that meet business needs.
