In the role of Manager (Digital Operations) you will be responsible for managing a team of specialist architects and business analysts to develop underlying systems solutions and then transform the solutions into a high quality, cost effective and sustainable Information Communication and Technology (ICT) architecture execution for a number of registration and licencing systems, including micro service and integration architecture required for Cloud services.

The key challenges in this role are to Identify interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure project objectives are achieved and establish effective teams and relationships with stakeholders.
• Contributing, as part of the leadership team to the delivery of a digital transformation and modernisation program.
• Leading a team of specialist developers, business analysts and testers, manage resources (people, funding, material, support) to achieve results, and measure and monitor the performance of your area of responsibility. 
• Leading a team of operational support staff and managed service providers to support the Digital Licence app and Queensland Digital Identity (QDI) services. 
• Managing work demand, priorities, and conflict and negotiate outcomes without compromising relationships.
• Coaching team members to apply lean and agile practices.
• Providing architectural governance of the technology direction and delivery process, to ensure design requirements reflect patterns for re-use to optimise ICT investments.

This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the TMR Agreement conditions apply to this position.
