As a Bl and Data Team lead you will:

• Lead the management, development, enhancements and maintain the applications, database, data warehouse and reporting services required to meet the business and operational needs of the agency.
• Provide high level technical expertise, guidance, assistance and advice to system development teams and less experienced team members regarding the analysis, design, planning and delivery of applications, database, data warehouse and reporting projects.
• Lead and facilitate in the development and evaluation of plans and strategies as well as standards for programming tools and techniques that meet the long-term requirements for applications services in the agency.
• Maintain and develop all required documentation, including design documents, project quality plans, processes and procedures.
• Liaise with product vendors and clients to identify and resolve complex application issues and to identify beneficial changes.
• Monitor recent industry developments and trends, including liaising with external professional bodies and tertiary institutions, to enable the implementation of best practice information technology.
• Take technical responsibility for all stages in software development process and act as a point of escalation for applications-related issues.

Role specific/technical skills

• Able to Create Power Bl dashboards and reports - design, build and deploy.
• Development of visualisation tools as part of the dashboards.
• Implement Microsoft SQL Server technologies SSIS/SSAS for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
