An AO6 Risk and Planning Lead vacancy is available in the Governance and Business Support division of the Queensland Revenue Office.
Reporting to the Principal Analyst – Risk, the Risk and Planning Lead supports the implementation and ongoing improvement of the QRO’s Risk Based Revenue Management (RBRM) and Strategic Planning frameworks.

Your typical day as a Risk and Planning Lead may include:
• Providing expertise in risk management and corporate planning to facilitate the annual compliance and corporate planning cycles.
• Lead, co-ordinate and monitor risk and planning activities, undertaking reporting and quality assuring documentation and contribute to comprehensive reports and briefing notes offering insights and make recommendations to stakeholders.
• Coach the team to continuously improve, monitor and analyse current systems, practices and procedures which are progressive and mitigate/ control risk.
• Build relationships through collaboration and consultation with a variety of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
• Knowledge and experience in leading and supporting good practice in risk management principles, preferably in a revenue or regulatory environment.
• A high level of interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing work priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
