The Fraser Coast region is a culturally diverse and vibrant area located just three hours north of Brisbane. It encompasses the historical town of Maryborough and the coastal city of Hervey Bay, offering a unique blend of heritage, natural beauty, and a relaxed lifestyle.

Hervey Bay — Coastal Charm and Natural Wonders

Hervey Bay is renowned as one of the world's best locations for observing humpback whales. Nestled between the Queensland mainland and K'gari (formerly Fraser Island), this coastal city offers a laid-back lifestyle perfect for barefoot beach walks, oceanfront bike rides, and enjoying fresh fish and chips by the water. The iconic Urangan Pier, stretching almost a kilometer into the sea, is one of Australia's oldest and longest piers. It's a fantastic spot to see pods of dolphins, schools of fish, and rays in the crystal-clear waters below.

Maryborough — A Town Steeped in History and Creativity

Maryborough is a town rich in history and heritage, once serving as one of Australia's largest ports and an industrial powerhouse in the late 19th century. Its striking art, statues, heritage buildings, and museums tell the story of its vibrant past. The town is also the birthplace of P.L. Travers, the creator of Mary Poppins. Visitors can explore the Story Bank, located in the 136-year-old bank building where Travers was born, and immerse themselves in the world of this beloved literary character.

The Fraser Coast Child Safety Service Centre covers a diverse and expansive area, stretching from North Howard to South Glenwood, West to Monogorilby, and East to K'gari. This region offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of living in such a picturesque and culturally rich area.
