QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government.  It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced professional with test management expertise? Can you provide expert advice and guidance in coordinating test analysis, managing schedules, resources and deliverables, while collaborating with stakeholders to meet project goals?

QBuild is seeking a Test Coordinator to join our Business Improvements & Systems team. Our charter is to proactively support and enhance QBuild's operations and performance by leading innovation, preparing staff for change and delivering reliable technology and processes

About the role

You will provide authoritative advice across all aspects of testing from planning through execution and reporting.

Applicants must demonstrate experience in:

  • C# and ASP.NET or similar software development languages
  • TOSCA test automation
  • Azure DevOps Test Plans and Pipelines
  • Requirements analysis to create detailed test cases

About You

To be considered for this role, you'll ideally bring:

  • Experience in testing processes, test plan creation, automation, execution, and reporting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor peers in both automation and manual testing

You will demonstrate ability to:

  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain testing frameworks using appropriate tools and technologies
  • Test systems to ensure compatibility with user requirements and environments as defined in specifications
  • Maintain testing processes and ensure requests are met according to agreed procedures
  • Perform evaluations to confirm stakeholder and organisational requirements have been met
  • Coordinate and manage system and/or acceptance tests—including automation and manual testing
  • Provide authoritative advice on all aspects of test processes, including planning, automation, execution, and reporting
  • Define and communicate test strategies for projects
  • Mentor and assist peers with testing tasks
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of testing frameworks, standards, and best practices

Essential Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET or similar languages
  • Experience with TOSCA test automation and Azure DevOps Test Plans and Pipelines
  • Ability to analyse requirements and create detailed test cases
  • Collaborative approach to building positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients
  • Clear and effective communication and negotiation in complex environments
  • Ability to define testing scope and priorities with project managers, product owners, and stakeholders
  • Facilitate UAT sessions and support end-users during testing phases
  • Manage defect triage: log, prioritise, resolve issues, verify fixes, and retest
  • Ensure documentation and maintenance of all testing artefacts including test plans, test cases, and defect logs
