Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
As the Principal Manager Compliance Investigations, you will:
- Lead and manage the operation of the teams across Compliance and Enforcement, including:
- Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on performance to ensure objectives are met;
- Providing staff with appropriate direction, guidance, training and assistance;
- Developing, implementing and monitoring business plans, KPI's and budgets;
- Identifying and implementing resolutions for significant issues.
- Interpret legislation, codes, standards, policies, guidelines and practices related to compliance investigations and provide high level written and verbal advice as required.
- Support the operations of the Building and Trade Services Division, including:
- Preparation of reports and statistics for the Director Compliance and Enforcement and Assistant Commissioner as required;
- Preparation of papers and providing in-person updates as required for the QBCC's committees and statutory bodies, including the QBC Board, Regulatory and Resolution Committee, Service Trades Council, Building Products Advisory Committee and Fire Protection Working Group.
- Communicate and negotiate, both in writing and verbally, with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement policies and projects relating to compliance investigations
- Work collaboratively with senior management and stakeholders to support the strategic direction of the QBCC
- Represent the QBCC at meetings, conferences, forums and committee's relation to the compliance investigation activities.
- Lead and manage the investigation processes relating to compliance complaints.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all QBCC staff and external customers.
- Provide support and advice to the Director Compliance and Enforcement, as required.
