An exciting ten-month opportunity has become available at Transport and Main Roads (TMR) for a high performing learning specialist. Do you have the skills and knowledge to support the Corporate Division’s Human Resources Branch, as a Senior Instructional Designer in the Learning & Development team?
In this role you will provide specialist instructional design advice and services at an organisational level, delivering contemporary online and instructor-led learning solutions.

The Learning & Development team are focused on creating and supporting a continuous learning culture in TMR. We are passionate about providing high-level specialist advice and services to the department to support HR, learning and
development and organisational development initiatives at an enterprise level.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Instructional Designer who understands the application of WCAG requirements to design, develop and maintain corporate training and learning materials. This includes managing TMR's mandatory training.
You must be able to engage and collaborate with subject matter experts and across business teams to design and develop internal training offerings and just in time resources - ranging from face to face and virtual instructor-led training to blended and online eLearning modules.
You will have high level proficiency and experience in an Office 365 environment, using Microsoft applications including Teams, online learning development software (Articulate Storyline and Rise); and operating within digital engagement platforms (including Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Totara; SharePoint; and LinkedIn Learning). You should have an in-depth understanding of formal learning design and adult learning theory and be able to demonstrate how you have practically applied these to create contemporary and fit-for-purpose solutions.
Experience in leading the review, procurement, implementation, and contract management of an LMS; and a tertiary qualification in Interactive Design/Information Technology, Training/Education, Human Resources or related fields are highly desirable.
