Principal Advisor
Delivery Support; Implementation Division; Brisbane City
The Department of the Premier and Cabinet is seeking expressions of interest from experienced professionals with a passion for driving improvements and delivering results, to undertake a 6-month engagement within the Implementation Division.
As Principal Advisor you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving impactful outcomes for the Queensland Government’s highest priorities – including health, housing and home ownership and reducing victims of crime.
Leveraging your stakeholder management skills, sound judgement and ability to balance competing demands, you will support the delivery of complex, cross-agency initiatives that shape Queensland’s most critical programs and policies.

The Division operates across agencies and sectors toaddress complex challenges and deliver community value, through collaboration, transparency, and innovation. The Implementation Division leverages data and evidence-based delivery methodology to shift the dial on critical priorities.
How you'll contribute:
In this role, you will provide expert advice on critical implementation challenges, working collaboratively with senior leaders and agencies across the sector to identify and resolve systemic issues. You will champion the development of innovative, forward-thinking solutions that deliver measurable outcomes across the government's highest priorities - including health, housing and home ownership, and reducing victims of crime.

The Principal Advisor role will provide an opportunity for you to demonstrate your strong professional connections and systems thinking, in tandem with your excellent communication skills, strong negotiation and stakeholder management capability. Your experience in troubleshooting and problem solving, has made you skilled at navigating situations of ambiguity to drive performance and achieve results.
