QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government.  It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. In a disaster event, QBuild staff are among the first on the ground, completing repairs and building works to help communities get back on their feet.

The highly collaborative Learning and Development team is passionate about delivering enhanced workforce development initiatives (such as a recognition and remuneration program for tradespeople, and DE&I initiative implementation) to employees across our organisation. As we focus on the implementation of our comprehensive L&D strategy, we're designing and delivering programs that equip our workforce with the skills and resources they need to excel in their roles, driving better outcomes for both the organisation and the communities we support.

About the role

In this role you'll be:

  • working on key projects that directly support and engage our Tradesperson population,
  • coordinating end-to-end projects to deliver on workforce development initiatives,
  • analysing information to identify key project outcomes, and
  • developing and delivering tailored materials and resources.

Your effective communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills coupled with your passion for workforce development will play a crucial role in developing and sustaining positive relationships with a range of stakeholders throughout project phases.

About you

You're a self-motivated, process-savvy professional who loves ensuring that workforce development initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently. You thrive in environments where you can collaboratively analyse and shape solutions with long term benefits in a way that genuinely helps people succeed.

You'll bring demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in project planning, delivery and evaluation. Both technical skills (particularly in Microsoft Suite) and an innovative mindset are essential to enhance the work we do.
