The Cyber Capability and Awareness team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business provides cyber security capability for the Queensland Government. As a key member of the team, you will provide specialised project and program support activities to enable the delivery of the sector wide cyber awareness program.

As the Senior Project Officer working within the Cyber Security Unit, you will provide expertise and undertake specialised project and program support activities to enable the successful delivery of a large-scale cyber awareness program. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and provide input into:
    • project and resource planning activities
    • project management including documentation, reports, and status information
    • preparing correspondence, presentations, and briefings
  • Act as the central point for monitoring and reporting on project components including cyber awareness activities, interdependencies, benefits management, assurance, and communication activities.
  • Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including government agencies to coordinate meetings, briefings, event management and evaluation.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures and standards and high-quality practices including version control management.
  • Contribute to effective, client focused teamwork by developing an understanding of the roles and duties of team members within the team and working collaboratively to achieve effective outcomes with a focus on commitment to customer service.
