The Senior Business Support Officer works with staff at all levels across the division to provide high level operational and strategic advice and assistance across business functions including finance and human resource management.
About the role:
As the Senior Business Support Officer, you will:
• Liaise, monitor, negotiate and consult with senior management and work with unit managers and other departmental officers to prepare and analyse budget allocation and coordinate and review expenditure and revenue forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Co-ordinate and compile information to facilitate the analysis of human resource, budget and financial performance including the on-going monitoring, reviewing and reporting of the human resources and financial information of the division.
• Co-ordinate human resource management activities including, but not limited to, establishment management, workforce and salary reporting and provide administrative assistance as required.
• Manage complex workloads, meet deadlines and commitments and complete tasks within a tight timeframe independently or within a team.
• Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace that is free from bullying, discrimination and harassment.
About you:
• Demonstrated high level skills and knowledge of the budget, revenue and debt management processes and financial management policies and practices including financial management and reporting and proven experience in a range of financial management systems (e.g. SAP, Financial Reporter, Budget Builder, Microsoft Excel).
• Proven effective capabilities in managing and delivering contemporary, best practice human resource services, including the ability to provide high level advice and expertise to management in order to achieve human resource excellence and proven experience in human resource management systems (e.g. Aurion).
• Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities, meet deadlines, bring tasks to completion and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to successfully build and maintain positive relationships with team members, key stakeholders and clients.
