Our purpose is to safeguard Queensland's unique biodiversity, now and for future generations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to join our Threatened Species Operations Unit.

In this role, you will design and lead projects aimed at improving our understanding of the impacts of key threats (pests) on threatened species. You will play a pivotal role in implementing effective conservation and recovery strategies across the Southwest Queensland region.

As a Senior Project Officer, you will:

• Apply your knowledge of pest and threatened species ecology to develop projects to address threatened species management challenges.
• Lead project planning, implementation, and evaluation, demonstrating strong leadership and contributing to a respectful, inclusive workplace culture.

Collaboration is central to your success in this role. You will engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including regional partners and First Nations communities.
