Are you ready to work in a high-profile environment that directly impacts Queenslanders? The Office of the Under Treasurer offers a unique opportunity, in the Queensland Treasury Departmental Liaison Office, for a dedicated individual to work closely with Ministerial Offices and key stakeholders. This position supports the Under Treasurer and Ministers responsible for treasury, energy, home ownership and finance, as well as delivering outcomes across government priorities.
This role provides a chance to be at the forefront of departmental and portfolio coordination while collaborating with private sector stakeholders, statutory bodies, and government-owned corporations.
In this role, you will:
- Liaise with high-level stakeholders, including Ministerial Offices, Executive management, private entities, and the community, regarding government programs and policies.
- Provide policy advice on complex and intersectional issues such as economic, energy, social policy, finance, and budget initiatives, aligned with government objectives.
- Coordinate sensitive, high-volume correspondence for Ministerial Offices with a commitment to confidentiality and utmost accuracy.
- Manage public enquiries related to departmental issues, aiding Queensland's constituents.
- Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, aiming for seamless collaboration.
- Monitor and optimise workflow for Ministerial correspondence and briefing notes, ensuring professional standards and timely delivery.
- Work on strategies to enhance departmental processes and compliance with relevant protocols.
- Undertake administrative tasks for the Office of the Under Treasurer to support effective information flow and daily operations
What experience you will bring:
- Exceptional relationship management skills and sound judgement to collaborate and create solutions tailored to diverse perspectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication ability, including the aptitude to adapt complex content for varying audiences with high attention to detail.
- Organisational skills to proactively perform in a dynamic work setting with tight timeframes, leveraging agility and autonomy.
- Sound knowledge of government mechanics, including Ministers' roles and adherence to protocols and processes.
- Familiarity with whole-of-government and departmental priorities, initiatives, and strategies.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
