We have multiple opportunities for experienced and passionate Team Leaders to join our growing Gold Coast team. As a Team Leader you will supervise a team of Field Officers, establish work priorities, prepare team rosters, monitor work, support staff well-being and contribute to positive group dynamics and ongoing learning and development.

As our Field Team Supervisor you will:
• Supervise a field team and establish work priorities, prepare team rosters, monitor work, support staff well-being and positive group dynamics and facilitate staff induction and ongoing learning and development.
• Organise and coordinate specific Biosecurity surveys, surveillance and treatment, recording and reporting GPS and other data and reporting information as required.
• Communicate clearly and appropriately with managers, team members, landowners and members of the public and model good communication practices.
• Managing and optimising team performance to meet KPI objectives, addressing individual performance concerns, and reporting on team outcomes and KPI deliverables to the Area Coordinator.
• Provide on-the-ground direction and support and quality assure team members work, provide support to team members in managing difficult conversations with members of the public/landowners; assure accurate and timely recording of field data using standard forms.
• Undertake field-based surveillance, mapping and/or trapping and sampling and/or treatment activities (this may include assisting in aerial methods) as required under your Biosecurity Program.
• Complete work under limited direction using standard operating procedures.
• Work with a range of chemical-based ant baits, when conducting treatment activities. This includes using a hand driven bait spreader.
• Attend to administrative tasks as required, including but not limited to approving timesheets and monitoring leave applications
As a Field Team Supervisor, you will also be physically able to:
• Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, reaching, gripping, squatting, kneeling.
• Walk considerable distances (e.g. continuous walking for up to 60 minutes and up to approximately 15 kilometres a day).
• Lift up to 15kg loads safely.
• Carry a hand spreader about 1-2 kgs including bait in one hand and turn the crank with the other hand.
• Comply with and understand the work, health and safety requirements.
