Strategic Priorities is a small, high-performing team that sits within Strategic Priorities, Investment and Integration (SPII), Policy and Insight Division. As the Manager you will be key in identifying & monitoring local, state, national & international issues with a strategic whole of Government focus, as well as Government priority commitments, providing advice & support to the Senior Executive Leadership Team & the Minister.

Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Provide high level quality advice and support to Senior Executives, including the Minister for Police on organisational issues in the national context and in relation to government priorities.
• Represent the Division and manage liaison and coordination with stakeholders in the development and delivery of strategic policy in the national context and in relation to government priorities.
• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Strategic priorities, ensuring the effective management of staff, functions and resources to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with organisational priorities and strategic objectives.
• Build and sustain partnerships and networks with key internal and external stakeholders and negotiate outcomes to support the achievement of expected service delivery outcomes.
• Provide high level strategic direction in the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of business strategies and initiatives in the national context and in relation to government priorities.
• Foster and maintain a work environment committed to professional standards, ethical practices and continuous improvement.
Role Requirements
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
• Previous experience in Government policy, criminology, and/or inter-jurisdictional engagement will be highly desirable.

• The role may require some interstate travel.
