Reporting to the Senior Human Resource Officer, Office of the Deputy Director- General (ODDG), Environment and Heritage Policy and Programs, the Business Support Officer will play a key role in supporting the division's strategic objectives and day-to-day operations.
As the Business Support Officer, you will:
• Coordinate and provide advice on human resource management activities including recruitment and selection, establishment management, reporting against targets, training, Workplace Health and Safety and Performance Planning and Review.
• Provide ongoing support, training and advice to staff with regards to workforce, financial, correspondence, executive reporting and general administrative services to ensure compliance with the departments policies and procedures.
• Coordinate, prepare and monitor corporate governance requirements, including briefing notes, correspondence, ministerial responses, business planning processes, monthly reports and other information requests, ensuring information is accurate and deadlines are met.
• Review and evaluate administrative and reporting systems and recommend improvements to increase their efficiency and effectiveness.
• Other responsibilities consistent with the duties and responsibility of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
