We are seeking an experienced Finance & Business Support Advisor to join our Customer Technology Branch in Brisbane.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to: 
• Assist with finance administration including undertaking accounts payable/receivable activities, process journals and accruals, reconcile corporate cards, and produce financial reports. 
• Coordinate procurement activities, including purchasing, tenders, quotations, purchase orders, and compliance with QLD Government procurement frameworks. 
• Maintain asset registers, support asset lifecycle management, and ensure accurate tracking of ICT and operational assets. 
• Provide HR support including recruitment coordination, staff records maintenance, onboarding, and advice on HR policies and processes. 
• Manage central communication channels (e.g. shared mailboxes), prepare documentation, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Maintain business systems, registers, records, and governance documentation in line with policy, legislation, and departmental requirements. 
• Identify and implement improvements to administrative workflows, financial processes, and branch operations. 

To be considered suitable for the role you will have: 
• Demonstrated experience in finance administration, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal preparation, and use of corporate financial systems. 
• Knowledge of procurement processes and Queensland Government procurement policies and frameworks. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and prepare clear, accurate documentation. 
• High-level organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work with autonomy. 
• Strong digital capability, including experience with SAP/MyHive, Fieldglass, Expenseme Pro, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and business information systems. 
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy, governance frameworks, and ensure compliance across finance, HR, and procurement functions. 
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, build positive relationships, and contribute to continual business improvement.
