Logan & Gold Coast (LGC) Faster Rail Project; Rail Infrastructure Delivery; Rail; Brisbane

Queensland's passenger rail network is undergoing significant transformation in response to unprecedented growth and emerging demands. In the next decade, various large rail infrastructure investment projects and system enhancements will be delivered which will change the way people move. To ensure a co-ordinated approach in the delivery of this large rail infrastructure pipeline, TMR has established a Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office responsible for delivering significant rail projects, including the $5.75 billon Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) Project.
The LGC project will unlock the current capacity bottle neck on the South East Queensland rail network to enable more services to run more frequently and reliably between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast and is a key infrastructure investment ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

You will project manage the design, construction and handover of key components of the LGC project and provide specialist technical advice to ensure successful delivery of the project within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Effectively manage the project team undertaking the delivery of the LGC project and ensure project outcomes and benefits are achieved in a safe and integrated way.
• Develop and manage the scope, program, and budget for the delivery of the works.
• Monitor and report on project progress, including cost control, schedule and program overview, development and implementation of management plans and robust risk and integration management, in accordance with governance requirements and project management frameworks.
• Determine the requirements for and understand the interface and integration with concurrent projects being delivered with the LGC project corridor.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues associated with the project to improve overall performance and ensure value-for-money project delivery.
• Provide authoritative, strategic and operational advice to the Delivery Lead and Project Director on project delivery.
• Act as "Representative of the Principal" for the delivery of contracts as defined and delegated at respective development/implementation project phases and provide expert advice and guidance on contractual issues and contract performance.
• Ensure the application of all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and quality of outcomes is maintained with respect to all phases of project delivery.
• Provide expert advice and input to customer enquiries and as part of communication and engagement activities.
• Work collaboratively with the LGC project team to develop a positive team culture and support effective relationships at all levels.
• Develop and maintain ongoing constructive relationships and strategic networks within TMR, Queensland Rail and other government agencies and jurisdictions,
industry, stakeholders, community and internal and external clients.
• Manage day to day administration and operation of the project including finance, governance and HR administration.

To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Highly Desirable Qualifications Bachelor (or higher) qualification in either Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management.
• Experience working on large transport infrastructure projects, particularly in a rail environment would be highly desirable
