We're looking for the best-suited applicant for the role. We focus on your strengths by assessing a combination of your competencies, knowledge-based skills and behavior's. For this role we are looking for strengths in:
• Work in a regionally based planning team, assisting with the delivery of SARA.
• Working with and supporting local governments to facilitate statutory plan making processes.
• Lead and support urban and regional planning projects.
• Provide expert, professional advice on the interpretation and application of the Planning Act 2016 to various stakeholders, including local government officials, state government executives, and professional consultancies.
• Assist with effective state agency participation in whole-of-Government matters of state or regional significance in local government plans and land use planning processes.
• Represent the department, as appropriate, at industry/stakeholders events, meetings and working groups in an effective and professional manner.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, delivering clear and direct briefings on complex planning matters to executive leadership teams, and perform additional tasks as required by the Manager and team members.
• You build and manage productive working relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
• Actively contribute to fostering a team environment and positive culture, where team members enjoy coming to work, are appropriately skilled and challenged and understand the contributions their role plays in the success of business outcomes.
