Your team - Development Services
Development Services uses the wide-ranging powers of the Economic Development Act 2012 to deliver housing, commercial and industrial development outcomes for Queensland. You will be part of a connected, accountable, impactful and nimble team that is working to enable transformative developments across the State with pace and scale.
Development Services comprises a mix of planning, urban design, built form, engineering and commercial professionals responsible for the identification and implementation of the state's PDAs and Accelerated Development Opportunity sites and precincts.
Your contribution
Joining our team as a Senior Business Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Service Excellence, presents a unique opportunity to drive innovation, shape solution design and optimise critical business processes. Your expertise will contribute to new delivery patterns to streamline our ways of working. Through building strong partnerships with stakeholders, you'll play a pivotal role in transformative change and delivering exceptional outcomes.
Key duties include:
- Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships with high levels of customer service across the department, with ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leading business requirement analysis and aligning system specifications with departmental strategy and guidelines to deliver business value, using workload management tools to articulate requirements clearly.
- Creating and maintaining documentation, analyse and clarify requirements, and gather information through interviews, workshops, and surveys.
- Coordinating work packages with internal teams and external vendors, providing advice on application lifecycle management, including risk and issue identification.
- Document requirements and manage work items through their lifecycle using organisational tools.
- Coordinating design of new solutions in collaboration with stakeholders (external provider, internal technical resources and business), identifying solution options and informing decisions based on assessment of feasibility, risks, cost and benefits.
