Senior Operations Manager (Toowoomba Cluster)

In your role as Senior Operations Manager, you will lead the operations and effective delivery of court services within the Charleville, Dalby, Goondiwindi, Kingaroy, Murgon, Roma, Toowoomba and Warwick Magistrates Courts (the Toowoomba Cluster), managing registry leaders and a program of work designed to operationalise change, deliver excellence in registry practice and high performing teams. You will provide strong and effective leadership to registries and courthouses, ensuring a supportive and cohesive workplace environment for all staff.
You will provide clear direction and support to staff to improve safety, practice, optimise resources and create a continuous improvement culture.
You will engage with judiciary and court stakeholders to provide quality administrative support as well as tailored services for Indigenous communities and vulnerable people.

As part of the regional leadership group, and in collaboration with colleagues across the state, you will take a strategic outlook and support the Directors to translate CAT's strategic and operational initiatives into registry practices that deliver operational and service improvements within your area of responsibility.
• Role model contemporary leadership and strive for personal growth, while providing positive and fair feedback to build the skills and performance of your team;
• Lead, mentor, and motivate dispersed teams to foster cooperation, cohesion, and a positive working environment;
• Establishing and championing a best practice approach to risk management by recognising and responding to risks relating to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), including anti-social behaviours of court users. This also includes determining appropriate practice and procedures for actions and pathways for information sharing with other internal or external parties to ensure the safety of all staff and court users.
• Provide high-level advice on complex operational and strategic matters to all relevant stakeholders;
• Integrate trauma-informed, compassionate, and culturally appropriate service delivery into strategic planning and implementation, ensuring responsiveness to stakeholder needs;
• Critically review currency and consistency of operational standards across registries and ensure compliance with policies and procedures;
• Support the Director to formulate strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing community awareness and understanding of the justice system, while effectively achieving organisational objectives and supporting court users from disadvantaged backgrounds;
• Build and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with peers, the judiciary, and court stakeholders to enhance business efficiencies and court services;
• Actively manage financial, human resource, data and risk management practices to ensure accountability and efficiency; develop and implement risk treatment plans;
• As part of the regional leadership team operationalise the strategic direction and goals of the organisation;
• Provide high level management and leadership across workforce planning, performance management, service improvement and effective governance; developing implementation plans that guide registrars to deliver the required outcomes;
