We are seeking a skilled Senior Executive Officer to join us and lead the Executive Services team for the Environment and Heritage Policy and Programs division. You will be instrumental in the efficient and effective management of the divisions governance and executive services by providing high-level executive and administrative support and strategic advice.

The Senior Executive Officer reports to the Director, Office of the Deputy Director-General and works closely with the Division, the Cabinet Legislation and Liaison Office, Executive Correspondence Unit and counterparts in other divisions across the department. This position provides high-level executive support and strategic advice to the Deputy Director-General and Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the delivery of the Division's objectives. The position manages the Executive Services team, comprising the Senior Executive Support Officer and the Senior Correspondence Coordinator.

In this role you will:
• Provide high level support and coordination of Divisional business planning and reporting, including operational plans, annual reports, service delivery statements, priority initiative and Government Commitments and other corporate governance requests.
• Coordinate divisional responses to Ministerial, Cabinet and government submissions and reports.
• Provide the Deputy Director-General and Senior Leadership Team with professional, authoritative advice on ministerial, Parliamentary and Cabinet and corporate governance processes.
• Research, analyse, prepare and coordinate briefing notes, reports or requests requiring a whole-of-division response.
