Are you passionate about strengthening the cultural capability of the Queensland Public Sector?

Do you have the cultural expertise and lived experience to drive meaningful change and a reframed relationship with both Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples?

If so, the Public Sector Commission (PSC) wants you to join our Equity, Diversity, Respect, Inclusion and Cultural Capability (EDRICC) team as a Principal Officer, Cultural Capability (Identified).

About the Role:

As a Principal Officer, Cultural Capability, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening cultural capability within the Public Sector Commission and across the Queensland public sector. You'll work closely with First Nations leaders, employee networks, and public sector partners to drive cultural capability uplift and deliver on strategic initiatives that drive system change.

Your work will directly contribute to creating a culturally capable, respectful and inclusive public sector that delivers better outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with:

Proven experience in cultural capability uplift and applying cultural knowledge to drive change.

Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.

A strategic mindset and problem-solving skills to address systemic barriers and implement system reform.

A collaborative approach to teamwork and a commitment to learning and innovation.
