Director, Policy and Strategy

The Strategic Policy team within Digital Investment and Strategy, Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business is a multi-disciplinary unit that combines contemporary thinking and practices to deliver evidence-based and forward-looking strategic policy for Queensland Government.
As Director, Policy and Strategy you will lead a small team to provide policy advice, policy related initiatives, strategic reviews in partnership with key stakeholders across government, the community, business and industry. You will work collegiately as part of the leadership team to manage financial and human resources and undertake corporate management responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
Detailed understanding of Cabinet and Executive Government processes and decision making would be highly regarded.

As the Director, Policy and Strategy, you will:
• Provide leadership on a broad range of strategic, legislative and policy matters related to the Queensland Government's digital priorities
• Facilitate strategy development and innovative policy direction, and associated change management
• Apply robust and effective program and project management to support the delivery of strategic and policy related initiatives and their objectives
• Provide strategic advice and policy analysis across the digital and data portfolio
• Promote and support a workplace culture of equity, diversity, respect and inclusion, and proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.
