Join the Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support as a Senior Advisor in the new Woodford Youth Detention Recruitment team. You will be responsible for providing best practice support & advice, specialising in the attraction, recruitment, selection & onboarding of frontline & other department staff required to operate the Woodford Youth Detention Centre. Within this scope you will deliver practical information about culturally appropriate attraction, recruitment and selection methods as well as onboarding, induction and retention of staff. You will also be required to contribute expert knowledge and skills to implement strategic recruitment projects within a dynamic and evolving workforce environment and with a complex workforce in mind.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver contemporary culturally appropriate advice and consulting services to executives, and applicants relating to recruitment and selection for roles within the youth detention stream of the Department.
- Specifically manage a portfolio of clients, applicants and locations to fill vacancies in youth detention centres, with a particular focus on community engagement and talent attraction activities.
- Build professional and productive working partnerships with a portfolio of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate quality service delivery, practice and outcomes.
- Work closely with other areas to contribute to initiatives that enable the growth of a diverse and culturally capable workforce.
- Prepare reports and other correspondence related to human resource matters and issues, and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Maintain sound and current knowledge of human resource management practices, policy and procedures to ensure contemporary human resource solutions are delivered to clients.
- Contribute to the evaluation of services and the implementation of new initiatives from the Department's strategic and operational plans to ensure continuous improvement and implementation of quality human resource management to achieve organisational strategic goals.
- Participate as part of a cohesive high performing team in which all members' contributions are valued and encouraged.
This role will require a valid Blue Card.
