Join our team and be involved in a wide variety of activities to support the delivery of statewide water measurement programs and initiatives to drive improved measurement and reporting of Queensland's valuable water resources. You will provide important contract management and project support for priority water measurement initiatives while also supporting the team develop and implement other parts of its statewide water measurement work program. You will be part of a positive and enthusiastic team that works collaboratively to achieve its goals.

The Role

Working in the Water Measurement, Strategic Compliance and Investigations team within Regulation and Operational Support, you will be involved in a range of activities to support the team develop and implement statewide water measurement policy, frameworks and initiatives.

You will be contributing to an enthusiastic team that values a positive, outcomes focused and inclusive culture to deliver our business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Interpret and assist in implementing the provisions of the Water Act 2000 and associated legislation in relation to statewide non-urban water measurement.
  • Develop and implement operational policy, procedures and guidelines in relation to the measurement of the State's non-urban water resources.
  • Support water measurement projects and business improvement initiatives associated with implementing policy and legislation.
  • Prepare briefs, reports, presentations, web content and other supporting documents as required.
  • Provide contract management and procurement support in relation water measurement projects and business improvement initiatives.
  • Support a positive team culture by helping team members and sharing information.

About You

  • There are no mandatory requirements for this role, however experience in the use of SharePoint, Power BI or any other information system reporting tools would be highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in natural resource management or environmental science and management would be highly regarded.
