The Principal HR Business Partner provides support to the Manager and coaches, mentors and provides guidance to Senior HR Business Partners who directly report to them. The Principal HR Business Partner oversees the provision of employment relations services including human resources advice and complex case management by Senior HR Business Partners within their reporting line.
The Principal HR Business Partner carries a small portfolio of clients.

As a Principal HR Business Partner, you will:
• Provide high level strategic and operational human resource consultancy, advice and services to allocated portfolios.
• Provide technical support and expertise to team members and stakeholders in relation to discipline matters, ensuring adherence to relevant frameworks including Conduct and Performance Excellence, Crime and Corruption Commission, and Public Interest Disclosures.
• Provide leadership and guidance regarding the use of workforce analytics in identifying trends and issues, to inform needs-based and tailored HR strategy and education.
• Provide guidance and support to Senior HR Business Partners in relation to complaint or grievance resolution techniques.
• Lead Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC) appeals, including advocacy in the QIRC with support from the Manager or Crown Law.
• Provide leadership, guidance and technical expertise to team members on general and complex HR advice, suspension, performance management, and complaints.
• Prepare complex intra and inter-departmental correspondence and contribute to and/or prepare data and reporting as required.
• Support a respectful, cohesive and proactive Business Partnerships team.
• Oversee the maintenance of records, case and file management, to ensure data accuracy.
• From time-to-time you may be required to contribute to projects, for example: organisational change; service innovation and business improvement initiatives; strategic workforce planning; employment and industrial relations strategy; and policy updates.
