We're on the lookout for a talented and experienced Graphic Designer who thrives on turning ideas into compelling visual stories. If you're passionate about design, love variety, and want to work on meaningful projects that reach communities across Queensland, this could be the role for you.
In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping how we communicate—supporting the delivery of high-impact communications and digital marketing across a diverse portfolio of exciting initiatives.
What you'll do:
- Design and deliver high-quality, creative assets across web, digital and print—everything from social media and video to publications, presentations, websites and campaigns.
- Bring ideas to life using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro), while staying ahead of emerging design and multimedia trends.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Graphic Designer and stakeholders to interpret briefs, provide expert advice, and develop creative solutions that hit the mark.
- Manage multiple projects with confidence—balancing competing priorities while delivering on time and to a high standard.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment where no two days are the same.
- Ensure all work aligns with whole-of-government branding, standards and guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and values-driven team culture.
What you'll bring:
- A strong portfolio and at least five years' practical experience in graphic design (highly regarded).
- A flair for creativity, paired with strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in multimedia production—such as animation, photography, or video editing—will be highly valued.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset and a genuine passion for great design.
Why join us?
You'll be part of a collaborative, supportive team that values fresh thinking and creative expression. We work with agility and integrity, take pride in what we deliver, and genuinely enjoy what we do.
If you're an out-of-the-box thinker ready to take on a new challenge in a small but dynamic department—where your ideas are valued and your work makes a difference—we'd love to hear from you.
