As the Manager of our Project Planning and Corridor Management team, you will support the District Director in achieving the district’s strategic road outcomes by providing tactical direction and leading all aspects of transport and network planning and matters relating to corridor management for the district.

The Role:
Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, manage, coordinate and direct the district integrated transport planning and corridor management, road operations and road safety activities in a relational manner.
  • Provide authoritative, strategic and operational advice on road system planning and road corridor planning issues.
  • Manage land tenure issues (disposal, acquisition of corridors, changes to gazetted network, road closures)
  • Develop collaborative relationships and interact with local government, other TMR business units and district planning authorities to ensure state-controlled road interests are protected in land use planning decisions.
  • Operate as a member of the District Leadership Team to contribute to and assist in the implementation of the culture change processes taking place within the region; including the building of high performing teams.
  • Actively influence local government planning schemes and collaborate with local governments in preparing strategic forward programs, in consultation with the Regional Planning Manager.

Diverse Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the district road corridor, including amenity management (litter, noise, air, graffiti), natural resource management (soil, salinity, quarries), road operations and safety, third-party access, and tourism signage.

Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with local governments and foster strategic partnerships to develop forward programs aligned with regional infrastructure goals under the guidance of the Regional Planning Manager.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Town Planning, or equivalent qualifications relevant to the infrastructure industry.
  • Pre-employment checks, including a criminal history screening and declaration of serious discipline history will be required to be completed.
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia.
