The Queensland Revenue Office is currently seeking applications to fill multiple AO3 Service Officer roles in Maroochydore. These roles exist across 2 divisions, the Payroll Tax, Mental Health Levy & Betting Tax division, responsible for ensuring the correct amount of tax is paid to the State of Queensland by entities that have Payroll Tax, Mental Health Levy & Betting Tax obligations, and the Revenue Contact Centre and Collections Division, responsible for receiving a high volume of calls relating to state taxes and grants, including duties, payroll tax and land tax.

The Queensland Revenue Office is currently seeking applications to fill multiple AO3 Service Officer roles in Maroochydore.
Our Service Officer roles in Maroochydore work across 2 functions:
• Compliance - which would see you conducting compliance audit activities for Payroll Tax and Betting Tax.
• Revenue Contact Centre - where you will be interpreting and providing information and assistance on revenue, taxation, debt, fines and legislative matters in a client centered environment.
Your typical day as a Service Officer in the Compliance team may include:
• Analysing financial data, reviewing legislation, processing workflows, and documenting decisions.
• Working with self-assessors, and supporting them to meet their state tax obligations.
• Contribute to a culture that promotes information sharing, continued learning, personal growth, and quality client service.
Your typical day as a Service Officer in the Revenue Contact Centre may include:
• Answering taxpayer phone calls to resolve revenue enquiries, ensuring a positive client experience.
• Responding to taxpayer emails and online enquiries regarding revenue enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Contribute to a culture that promotes information sharing, continued learning, personal growth, and quality client service.
To be successful in the position, you will need:
• Persistence, resilience, and negotiation skills.
• A working knowledge of digital and data technology/systems.
• The ability to interpret and apply legislation and/or policy or the ability to rapidly acquire this capability.
The positions are based in our Maroochydore office and flexible work options may be requested after a 90 day period. Appointed applicants will be expected to work within operating hours (8:30am to 5:00pm) and may be subject to shift rotations within these hours.
