  • The Director will lead two small teams (Secretariat and Business Support) within the Operations and Engagement team.
  • The Director will provide strong leadership to the Operations and Engagement team to provide outstanding Secretariat and coordination services to criminal justice reform initiatives and will oversee the development of high-quality briefing and meeting papers as required.
  • The Director will provide strong leadership to the Business Support team, including overseeing budget and administrative processes. Processing of correspondence and day-to-day operational processes of the JRO.
  • You will build productive relationships with a range of stakeholders, including other criminal justice and human services agencies, non-government organisations and the community. 
  • You will provide advice on submissions, briefs, ministerial and departmental correspondence, answers to parliamentary Questions on Notice and advice for the robust decision-making architecture overseen by governance groups consisting of Ministers and Directors-General from core criminal justice agencies and human services agencies.
  • You will represent the JRO at a variety of inter-departmental and inter-agency meetings, contributing to effective consultation and collaboration, that impact the implementation of initiatives of the JRO.
