The primary accountabilities of the role include:

  • Provide direct support to the General Manager and work with the Sentence Management Service Directors to implement people strategies and monitor deliverables.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of and high-level information on issues across the Business Unit.
  • Prepare reports, submissions, briefs and other correspondence in relation to the performance outputs and outcomes within the Business Unit.
  • Establish, lead and deliver strategies and projects as needed, in conjunction with the Regions within Sentence Management Service.
  • Manage the operational planning process for the Business Unit and coordinate input into the Department's strategic and business plan.
  • Build and maintain strategic networks and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and analyse issues to ensure the provision of accurate and timely advice to the General Manager, Sentence Management Service.
  • Support strategy and planning through research analysis and interpretation of data and information.
  • Promote the work of the Command across the wider-agency.
  • Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of organisational performance and policy issues facing Queensland Corrective Services and its stakeholders.
  • Any other duties consistent with the position as may be required from time to time by the General Manager, Sentence Management Service.

The role description provides the minimum requirements for the role. The incumbent may be required to undertake other duties as required outside of these primary accountabilities.
