Current Opportunities:
Design and Technologies (Engineering Principals and Systems/Materials) - Year 7-10
The role requires subject expertise in Years 7-10 Design and Technologies, with a focus on Engineering Principles and Systems and Materials and Technologies specialisations.
The position includes supporting the state-wide delivery of QVA On-demand learning materials, developing Australian Curriculum v9 resources, designing innovative and future-focused learning solutions, and coaching and mentoring inexperienced and out-of-field Design and Technologies teachers both virtually and face-to-face.
As part of this teaching role you will have:
- Experience developing and enacting Design and Technologies curriculum in line with the K-12 Curriculum, assessment and reporting framework, including the alignment of teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Expertise in the development and teaching of Australian Curriculum Years 7-10 Design and Technologies: Engineering Principles and Systems, and Materials and Technologies specialisations.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Ability to work collaboratively, and to take on and integrate feedback
- Experience in resource production or the capability to acquire skills and knowledge in this area
- Proven capability in coaching and mentoring teachers, particularly inexperienced or beginning teachers in the effective delivery of the Australian Curriculum, and;
- A strong interest in digitally-enabled learning approaches including the use of QLearn.
