Your Opportunity
This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with senior executives and influence decision making at the highest levels of government. You will oversee the operations of the Office of the DDG, lead the Business Support Unit, and provide authoritative advice on organisational strategy, business operations, governance and emerging issues. As a member of the Infrastructure Senior Leadership Team, you will anticipate risks, manage priorities, and ensure the group operates effectively in a complex and fast paced environment.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Provide high level, authoritative advice and support to the Deputy Director- General and Executive Directors on administrative, strategic and operational matters.
• Lead and manage the Office of the DDG, ensuring business support services meet the needs of the Infrastructure group.
• Identify priorities and emerging issues, and coordinate strategic responses to support effective decision making and risk mitigation.
• Oversee coordination of correspondence, briefs, submissions and ministerial requests, including advice to the Director-General and Minister's Office.
• Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders across government and the department.
• Lead and coordinate corporate activities including business planning, organisational design, risk management and reporting.
• Support a high performing, professional and customer focused team culture.
