In the role of Principal Designer (Civil), you will operate in a multidisciplinary team environment and participate in the management and delivery of planning and design
projects as components of transport infrastructure projects and provide expert technical advice and support to the transport infrastructure functional areas in your location.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Managing the delivery of a program of planning and design projects through the implementation of best practice to achieve value for money outcomes for transport infrastructure projects.
• Supervise and coordinate resource allocation to component projects and services which support the transport infrastructure functional areas in the Region to encourage teamwork and staff development.
• Providing leadership, conceptual thinking and resolution of complex problems to various stakeholders for successful completion of transport infrastructure projects.
• Ensuring that planning and design principles are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation, and that quality management is consistent with the required standards.
• When managing component projects, you will provide support and advice on the planning and design processes aligned with the relevant phases of corridor planning, program development, program delivery, and program finalisation.
• Development of effective relations with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address needs, expectations and issues that may affect the successful delivery of projects.
