The position is responsible for aligning WES data and system practices with departmental and divisional strategic directions, enabling enhanced environmental science capability across the organisation. This includes coordinating enhancements to existing systems, supporting integration across platforms, and leading the development of new data and information management systems where required.
A core component of the role is establishing and implementing robust data and information governance processes.
The Principal Systems and Data Coordinator leads a small team of specialist scientific data system professionals providing direction, guidance and expertise to support delivery of the program.
