Manager, Reporting and Governance

As the Manager, Reporting and Governance within the Olympic and Paralympic Games Office (OPGO), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective coordination, governance, and reporting of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This position is integral to supporting the delivery of the Games on time, within budget, and aligned with the strategic objectives and legacy outcomes for the Games.
Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Management, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of reporting frameworks, governance processes, and performance monitoring systems. Your work will enable senior Queensland Government stakeholders and Games Governance Groups to make informed, data-driven decisions based on accurate, timely, and transparent reporting.

In this role, you will:
• Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive reporting and governance framework to support the oversight of Brisbane 2032 Games delivery and legacy outcomes.
• Develop high-quality reports, briefings, and dashboards for senior executives, governance groups, and stakeholders, leveraging digital tools and data analytics to ensure clarity and precision.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on governance best practices, compliance, and reporting requirements to support the effective delivery of the Games.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within OPGO and across local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee (OCOG) and other key Games Delivery Partners, to ensure alignment and consistency in reporting and governance processes.
• Lead the identification and management of risks, issues, and opportunities related to governance and reporting, ensuring alignment with government standards and best practices.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and tools that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of governance and reporting activities.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of the Brisbane 2032 Games by ensuring all reporting and governance activities align with the overarching Games vision and objectives.
• Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours, ensuring a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.
