About the Role:
As Director of the Office of the Deputy Director-General (ODDG), Tourism, you'll be at the forefront of driving transformative initiatives to shape Queensland as a global tourism destination.
Working closely with the Deputy Director-General (DDG), you will support the delivery of Destination 2045: Delivering Queensland's Tourism Future and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact outcomes. From strategic governance to stakeholder engagement, from managing complex projects to crafting innovative solutions, this role is your chance to make a tangible difference.
You will:
• Provide expert advice and strategic direction to the DDG and Senior Leadership Team on key tourism priorities and emerging challenges.
• Lead the establishment of a Project Management Office to ensure better outcomes and governance across tourism projects.
• Build strong partnerships with government, industry, and community stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
• Oversee the planning, monitoring, and reporting of Destination 2045 initiatives and be a key driver of its success.
• Inspire and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence.

• Be experienced in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-impact projects.
• Have a strong understanding of Queensland's tourism ecosystem or broader experience in the tourism sector.
While formal qualifications in business management are highly regarded, your passion, experience, and leadership capabilities are what will set you apart.
