A fabulous opportunity exists to join the Cabinet, Legislation and Liaison Office at the Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism. We are looking for somebody who thrives on working in fast paced environments, is organised and efficient and enjoys connecting with people from across government.

You will be part of a team that provides expert advice, coordination and support services with respect to Cabinet, Parliamentary and Ministerial liaison, Executive Council specialist executive support services on behalf of the department.

What we are looking for:
• Thrives on working in fast paced environments.
• Is organized, efficient and enjoys connecting with people from across government.
• Has a desire to continually drive better practice.
• Has the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues tactfully and diplomatically.
• Has ability to build and sustain relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of outcomes.

Specific role requirements:
• A sound knowledge of Cabinet and parliament and experience in engaging with Ministers, Ministerial staff, the Director-General and senior executive officers is desirable but not essential.
• There will be operational requirements to work outside usual work hours at times due to the nature of the work.
