As the Senior Advisor, you'll be the trusted voice supporting the General Manager and the branch as a whole. Your mission? To provide strategic guidance across a broad range of areas, including corporate governance, human resource management, financial analysis, business planning, and stakeholder engagement.
From performance reviews to managing budgets and shaping key organisational processes, no two days will feel the same. This is a role for someone who thrives on juggling complexity while making a tangible difference in driving government priorities forward.
What You'll Be Doing
• Performance & Reporting: Coordinate and oversee reporting on departmental performance against key objectives, ensuring alignment with government commitments, operational plans, and priorities.
• Governance & Compliance: Lead initiatives to uphold corporate governance standards, ensuring all processes are transparent, accountable, and aligned with policies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and nurture connections with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring impactful communication and proactive support of corporate activities.
• Operational Expertise: Manage correspondence, briefings, and executive documentation, providing thorough quality control and maintaining comprehensive process protocols.
• Budget Management: Shape and oversee branch budgets, monitor expenditure, identify risks and recommend strategies for improved financial performance.
• Team Development: Foster a culture of learning and development, providing support and training to administrative staff to elevate their performance and leadership potential.
• Special Projects: Explore strategic business opportunities and manage crucial projects to improve the branch's systems and processes.
