The purpose of the Director (Tender Evaluation and Contract Reporting) is to lead a team and program of works focussed on improving tender evaluation and contract reporting practices, supporting Program Management and Delivery (PMD) fulfil its purpose to deliver consistent expertise for an integrated transport system that is sustainable, innovative, and future focused.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Desirable requirements:
• Possession of an accredited four-year degree in Civil Engineering recognised and approved through an approved assessment entity/tertiary institution
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is a desirable requirement for the position
Requirements of the role
• Proven ability to lead teams, execute strategic initiatives, and translate vision into actionable plans while inspiring teams to achieve organisational goals.
• Experienced in managing complex commercial negotiations, fostering strong relationships, and driving collaborative, customer-focused outcomes with external providers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of governance, procurement best practices, and regulatory compliance, ensuring financial risk management and adherence to high standards across programs and partnerships.
• Extensive experience with Procurement, Project Management, Program Management and Contracting for Infrastructure Projects
• Extensive exposure to and experience in the infrastructure industry is considered necessary for success in this role.
• Demonstrated skills and advanced competence in commercial and contract issues, contract administration and/or compliance of transport civil construction projects would be an advantage.
