Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate and support the development, implementation, and monitoring of business unit programs of work and strategic business initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvement and transformation by identifying opportunities.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across government, industry, and the broader community.
• Prepare, coordinate and review high-level written materials and strategic advice for executive, ministerial, and whole-of-government audiences, including reports briefings, submissions, and correspondence.
• Provide expert secretariat and governance support to senior leadership and governance groups.
• Administer effective procurement processes including market analysis, sourcing and contract management activities.
• Coordinate and oversee the operational activities of the Office of the General Manager, ensuring seamless workflow, effective correspondence management, and proactive support for executive priorities—acting as a key point of contact and providing high-level administrative leadership.
To be considered suitable for the role you will have:
• High-level written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to critically analyse complex information and business activities to ensure advice, correspondence, and work activities align with the strategic objectives.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply proficiency in relevant departmental systems and technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for assigned objectives, ensuring branch co-ordination, reporting, and support meet high standards of quality and timeliness.
• Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgement in managing sensitive matters, supporting executive decision-making, and maintaining confidentiality across branch operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and facilitating the delivery of customer-focused technology services.
• Demonstrated impartiality, defensible and fair decision making while supporting transparency and accountability across all branch activities.
• Demonstrated ability to work semi-autonomously, taking initiative to identify opportunities and proactively support the executive team in achieving strategic objectives. This includes exercising independent judgement, anticipating executive needs and delivering timely, high-quality outcomes with minimal direction.
• Demonstrated time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to shifting priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
