As a Senior Systems Administrator you will:
- Maintenance, development, deployment and testing of Standard Operating Environment including packaging and deployment of standard software and device drivers for approximately 8000 workstations.
- Patch management and compliance for approximately 8000 Windows 10 workstations and 1000 Windows Servers.
- Liaise with product vendors and clients on hardware, software and systems to identify and resolve complex infrastructure issues and to identify beneficial changes to the technical infrastructure.
- Maintain and develop all required infrastructure documentation, including design documents, standards, processes and procedures.
- Assist and participate in medium-to-large projects in relation to infrastructure architecture, design, evaluation, implementation, installation and upgrades.
- Adhere to the relevant ITIL standards and procedures that have been developed in the areas of Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management.
- Carry out and manage system administration functions utilising the Microsoft product set including but not limited to SCCM, Intune and Windows server and desktop patching.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call roster.
Your mandatory requirements:
Demonstrated technical expertise and experience in Microsoft technologies including the following:
- Windows Server and Workstation Operating Systems
- Active Directory
- SCCM and SCOM
- Intune and End Point Manager
Demonstrated ability to administer systems and analyse ICT issues and contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate solutions and improvements in an enterprise environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage Windows operating system patching and application deployment in a distributed environment.
Sound understanding of information security principals and frameworks, including Essential8.
Sound understanding of ITIL principles and practices.
