In this role you will:
• Provide leadership, expert and timely analysis, advice and recommendations in relation to Information Security Management System (ISMS), standards, governance and process improvement.
• Be a role model for compliance with the department's obligations and adherence to overall strategy.
• Lead and manage the successful delivery of the ISMS program of work, ensuring the adoption of and compliance with the Queensland Government Information Security Policy (IS18:2018), and work with key stakeholders to operationalise ISMS best practice.
• Ensure all ISMS audit recommendations are managed, risk assessed and escalated via the department's Risk Management Framework and governance pathways.
• Develop and identify methodologies and frameworks for capturing new innovative business opportunities through analysing and assessing business related data and digital trends.
• Establish approaches, plans and schedules for internal and external initiatives, in order to achieve agreed objectives in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage incident investigations and review and assess information management controls to ensure identified risks are managed appropriately and the ongoing effectiveness of standards and control mechanisms is maintained.
• Prepare reports, communication plans, presentations, ministerial briefing notes and correspondence as required.
• Effectively build relationships and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gain and share expertise and advance service delivery capabilities.
• Maintain own professional development while contributing to a learning culture and supporting the professional growth of others.
• Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours, ensuring a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.
