Queensland's passenger rail network is undergoing significant transformation in response to unprecedented growth and emerging demands. In the next decade, various large rail infrastructure investment projects and system enhancements will be delivered which will change the way people move. To ensure a co-ordinated approach in the delivery of this large rail infrastructure pipeline, TMR has established a Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office responsible for delivering significant rail projects, including the $5.75 billon Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Project.

The LGC project will unlock the current capacity bottle neck on the South East Queensland rail network to enable more services to run more frequently and reliably between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast and is a key infrastructure investment ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The purpose of the Project Officer (Safety) is to support the leadership and project team to successfully deliver assigned planning stage projects.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively support senior stakeholders with requirements, including documentation assistance, reporting within tight timeframes, and monitoring of sensitive issues and ensuring escalation where appropriate.
- Provide confidential, high quality administrative support maintaining sensitive and confidential information, always exercising discretion.
- Actively develop and review administrative processes and systems for improvement opportunities, identify process blockages and work with relevant stakeholders to proactively support resolution and provide more effective and efficient work practices.
- Schedule organise and where necessary attend meetings and working groups, and co-ordinate all necessary administrative support for such meetings. Take notes and prepare minutes for distribution if required.
- Assist in the preparation of human resources, procurement, communications and general business support including process documentation, maintaining registers and document management.
- Provide general support with the administrative operations ensuring accurate, timely reporting of safety data in Integrum and Power BI to meet monthly governance and regulatory requirements.
