Your role within Digital and Technology Services (DTS) supports the department to deliver ICT services. The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.

The Contract Solutions branch provides a procure-2-pay service for ICT contracts to DTS and its clients. The branch is responsible for routine purchasing, tendering and ongoing contract management. The branch is a results focused team supporting clients through the IT governance and controls to solve business needs through IT contracts.

The Procurement Officer plays a key role within the broader Contract Solutions team, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and new ICT suppliers. This role is integral to ensuring the organisation can effectively deliver ICT services to its customers.

What you will be doing:
• Supporting the Principal and Senior Procurement Officers by proactively identifying and reviewing contract renewals.
• Draft IT simple contracts using the QITC Framework.
• Source IT contracts by supporting the end-to-end quote and tender process in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy and related departmental policies.
• Monitor supplier performance in accordance with the contract management plan and associated policies. This includes managing or escalating emerging disputes.
• Accurately processing purchase orders and invoices.
• Report on contract and sourcing activities by keeping registers current and publishing awarded contract details in accordance with policies.
• Identify opportunities for improvements in the branch's practices and achievement of Queensland Procurement Policy targets and raise procurement challenges with peers.
