This position will develop and implement best practice strategies to support workforce planning and management within the Metro South and Metro North Regions. This position is fundamental in the achievement of QAS business objectives to ensure we strive for excellence in ambulance services for the Queensland community.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues affecting the delivery and support of workforce planning and rostering activities in a complex operational environment.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of and capability in database management and report generation, complex spreadsheets and computerised resource planning and coordination programs.
- Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills including a demonstrated ability to interpret financial and trend/output/outcome performance data to drive performance improvement.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse, professional teams in an environment of competing priorities and needs with limited resources.
- Demonstrated well-developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills and the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to contribute to strategic planning and the provision of policy advice, including the development and implementation of district/regional operational policies, standards and service improvement initiatives.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- Applicants must have a minimum of an Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Ambulance) and certification to practice as a Paramedic in Queensland; OR a Certificate III in Ambulance Communications - Call Taking and a Certificate IV in Ambulance Communications - Dispatch and certification to practice as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher in Queensland; OR a Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport and certification to practice as a Patient Transport Officer in Queensland; or equivalent qualifications, as determined by the Commissioner, QAS.
- Applicants are required to hold an open Queensland “C” Class Driver's Licence.
- It is an express condition of employment for all people who are to perform roles with direct patient contact to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following infectious diseases during their employment: Diphtheria; Tetanus; Pertussis (Whooping Cough); Hepatitis B; Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR); Varicella (Chickenpox); Influenza. Please note, there may be additional vaccination requirement
