Join the National Fire Ant Eradication Program as a Recruitment Advisor and become a key contributor to a high-performing, supportive team dedicated to protecting Queensland's environment, economy, and communities. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where no two days are the same. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills while making a meaningful impact on one of Australia's most significant biosecurity initiatives. With a flexible working arrangement, you'll spend time at our Berrinba office and other program locations, including Wacol, Caboolture, Laidley, Mutdapilly, or Burleigh Heads, gaining valuable exposure across the program and its operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering end-to-end recruitment services: Coordinate and manage all aspects of the recruitment process, from pre-advertising activities and job briefings to interview coordination, offers, and appointments. You'll ensure employment screening processes are timely, compliant, and deliver high-quality outcomes, while providing proactive and responsive support to internal stakeholders in line with public sector recruitment policies.

Providing exceptional candidate care: Act as the first point of contact for candidates, offering guidance and support throughout the recruitment process. This includes initial screening, interview preparation, follow-up care during onboarding, and identifying opportunities to enhance the candidate experience.

Maintaining accurate recruitment data: Use systems such as Springboard, Aurion, and Excel to ensure data integrity across recruitment, labour hire, and appointments.
Your work will support reporting that identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and enhanced service delivery.
In addition to these responsibilities, you'll collaborate with the team to convert contingent workers into program employees, assist with talent assessment centres and bulk recruitment activities, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You'll also contribute to fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and diversity within the team, ensuring the program's goals are achieved effectively and efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone with demonstrated recruitment experience, particularly within a government environment, and a sound understanding of public sector processes and policies. Exceptional customer service skills, a proactive approach, and a strong team mindset are essential, as is a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic environment. If you're ready to make a difference and contribute to a vital program, we'd love to hear from you!
