About the role
Join Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in a senior leadership role where your expertise will directly shape the delivery of critical transport infrastructure across Central Queensland.

As the Senior Advisor (Project Support and Procurement), you will lead procurement governance, project financial management and system administration that underpins the successful delivery of the Fitzroy District's Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP). You will provide high‑level advice to senior leaders, ensure compliance with government procurement and financial frameworks, and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.

A key feature of this role is the opportunity to lead and develop a large, multifunctional team, building capability, mentoring future leaders and fostering a positive, professional and high‑performing workplace culture.

What you will be doing,
You will:

• Lead and oversee procurement governance to ensure compliant, value for money outcomes aligned with TMR policies and legislative requirements.
• Provide strategic leadership and coaching to a diverse project support team, strengthening capability and performance.
• Lead project financial management activities that enhance assurance, compliance and delivery outcomes.
• Oversee system administration and provide expert advice and training in 3PCM and financial systems supporting QTRIP projects.
• Analyse complex financial and project data to inform decision‑making and improve consistency across the district.
• Champion continuous improvement, identifying smarter ways of working that deliver real business benefits.
